Navigating through slices

The viewer presents with three viewports corresponding to the three planes: axial, saggital and coronal. The axial view is presented on the main screen, and the saggital and coronal views are presented on side screens.

Scrolling through the stack

Navigating through the 3D volume can be done by simply scrolling with the mouse wheel, or by pressing the and keys.

On touch-enabled devices, scrolling through the stack can be achieved by dragging the guidelines on the other viewports.

Panning

Panning can be done on any of the three viewports by dragging the viewport while holding the right mouse button, or by two-finger dragging the viewport on touch-enabled devices.

When the Move tool is active, you can also pan by dragging the viewport while holding any mouse button, or by dragging the viewport on touch-enabled devices.

Zooming

Zooming in/out can be done by using scrolling with the mouse wheel, or by pressing the and keys while holding the Ctrl key, or by pinching the viewport using two fingers on touch-enabled devices.

When the Move tool is active, you can also zoom in/out by using the controls made available on the top bar.

Using the guidelines

Viewport guidelines and the 5 control points

The selection of the viewing plane is facilitated by the use of guidelines. These vertical and horizontal lines indicate the position of the displayed viewing planes in other 2D views. For example, in a 2D view with a transverse viewing plane, the horizontal and vertical guidelines mark the location of the frontal and sagittal planes displayed in other 2D views.

You can adjust one of the guidelines by dragging the control buttons at the ends of the guideline (e.g. the top and bottom control points for the vertical guideline), or both of them simultaneously by dragging the control point at the intersection of two guidelines.

note

By adjusting the guidelines, different planes from the other 2D views will be displayed to reflect the changes.

You can adjust the opacity of the guidelines from the icon on the right hand side of the top bar.

Changing the main view

The main view shows the axial plane by default. However, you can change the main view by pressing the button on the top left corner of any of the two side views.
