Automatic contouring

The great power of the Mediq software comes from its performant AI-based 🧠 workflows to automatically generate structures of interest. This reduces the manual effort required, enhancing the efficiency and accuracy of your delineation.

In order to access the Automatic Contouring interface, just click the blue button on the tool bar.

You can select structures from multiple templates from the dialog.

You can select specific structures to contour by anatomical site, allowing for targeted segmentation of individual organs.

tip

Use the Select All button on the bottom left side of the interface dialog to automatically select all the structures displayed inside a template.

After you selected the desired structures, click the blue Start button to start processing the image and getting the automatic contouring.

Checking the progress

Once the process is started, you will see a loading indicator on the status bar at the bottom of the screen, showing the current status of the automatic contouring process.

Furthermore, new structures will also appear in the structure set. Initially, they will all have an animated icon, indicating the new structure is currently loading.

Always verify the automatically-generated contours thoroughly, slice by slice. Do not assume the correctness of the generated contours.
