Smooth tool
The Smooth tool is designed for post-processing and refinement by reducing irregularities and creating a more natural, streamlined shape.
- Select the structure that you want to modify from the Structures tab.
- On the top bar, select the 2D/3D mode from the dropdown menu.
- Set the Strength and Offset values, using the preview as reference.
- Click on the Apply button.
Setting the smooth strength
You can change the strength of the smoothing operator by interacting with the top bar control, in one of three ways:
- By sliding over the box.
- By clicking on the box and setting a specific value.
- By clicking on the arrows
The preview will adapt accordingly.
Controlling offset
Smoothing may have the effect of decreasing/increasing the volume of the structure, which may or may not be desirable. In order to fine-tune this effect, you may change the Offset value by interacting with the top bar control, in one of three ways:
- By sliding over the box.
- By clicking on the box and setting a specific value.
- By clicking on the arrows
The preview will adapt accordingly.
Applying your changes
After you are happy with your selection, you can click the Apply button to apply the changes to the given structure. Note that this will overwrite the current structure.
Always ensure that the sought result is compliant with your requirements, by carefully assessing the preview or the final result.
